Our Story: From Past To Present

The story of Seven Sisters & Co. is one of resilience, heritage, and a return to our roots. Our journey began generations ago with our ancestors, Joseph Levi Harrell and his family, who were trailblazing entrepreneurs in Hawkinsville, Georgia, during the Reconstruction era.

As farmers, they worked hand-in-hand with nature, providing organic products to their community. Their legacy of perseverance and respect for the earth laid the foundation for what we do today.

Fast forward to 2024, and we’ve returned to the same state of Georgia that once nurtured our ancestors’ dreams. Here, we continue their tradition of harnessing the power of nature, offering our customers high-quality, plant-based products that nourish both hair and skin. Our family-owned business is deeply committed to promoting natural beauty and holistic health, inspired by the entrepreneurial endeavors of those who came before us.

Our parents, Elaine and Hubert Harrell shared 10 children together: seven girls and three boys. The name "Seven Sisters" was born from the shared vision of the seven daughters in our family, supported wholeheartedly by our three brothers. Together, we honor our parents’ legacy and celebrate the unique bond that has inspired us to build this company, a symbol of sisterhood, family, and unity.

Today, our vision extends beyond the products we create. At Seven Sisters & Co., we believe true beauty radiates from a foundation of health, confidence, and cultural pride. That’s why we established the Sisters In Strength (SiS) Community, a family tree that now includes our members. Through live Q&A sessions and health and wellness trainings, we empower our community to uncover their natural beauty and embrace a lifestyle grounded in well-being.
